Boarding Facilities

Payment is by cash or check only.
At this time, Hillroad is not equipped to accept credit cards.
Boarding costs: (as of January 1, 2025)
  • $36 per day - 1 dog.
  • $28 per day - 2nd dog ($64 per day - 2 dogs)
  • $21 per day - 3rd dog ($85 per day - 3 dogs) 
​​Note:  Additional dog pricing must be dogs from the same family and able to be kenneled together - or they will fall under the single dog pricing for a separate kennel.

Cancellation policy

All pricing listed are before tax.
Required vaccinations are:
  • Rabies
  • Parvo/Distemper Combo
  • Bordettela - (protects against kennel cough)
  • Vaccinations cannot be given at the last minute due to allergic reaction & insufficient time to build immunity. We require that initial & booster vaccinations be given a minimum of 2 weeks before their stay.
     (Sorry, no exceptions, please plan ahead)

​Your pets good health while Boarding

Vaccination records must be current and provided during check-in for your pets stay. The records must be presented in writing from a veterinarian and updated when necessary, again, providing proof of updated vaccinations.
How rates are charged:

Boarding charges are per day, not per night. You are charged a full day when dropping off in our morning hours. You are charged a 1/2 day when dropping off in our evening hours. If you pick up before 10:00 am, there is no charge for that day.

All dogs are boarded indoors and walked to individual outside exercise areas several times a day for fresh country air, sunshine, and whatever else your dog "needs to do."

You are welcome to bring your dogs current food for them.  In many cases, a change in diet can upset their digestive system.  If you do not provide their food, Hillroad feeds Nutri Source Adult formula Chicken and Rice at no additional cost.

Family owned and operated (kennels located on my private residence)

Fleas are a year round concern. (Yes, even in a Minnesota winter!) Hillroad does it's part to maintain a flea-free environment, please do yours. A preventative is recommend year round. All pets found with un-welcome guests will be treated immediately and you will be charged accordingly.

Unlike many other boarding facilities that charge additional "a-la-cart add on fees", here is what Hillroad includes at no additional charge:
  • Feeding special food &/or treats from home
  • Medication Administration
  • Soothing music played 24 hrs
  • Kennels cleaned/disinfected daily​
  • Raised dog beds provided
  • Blankets and rugs provided
  • Personal Blankets, toys, food, etc...from home always welcomed (machine washable please)

Hours for drop off and pick up for pets being boarded:

   Monday - Friday:   8 - 10 am; 4 - 6 pm
Saturday:   8 - 10 am
Sunday:   5 - 6 pm
