Cancellation policy
As of January 2023, Hillroad Kennels will implement the following cancellation policy:
- Boarding stays canceled by noon 7 days prior to your original scheduled stay will result in no charge.
- Reservations canceled after 12 noon 7 days prior to your scheduled stay will be billed at 50% of your original scheduled stay.
- The owner agrees to pay for all days reserved in the event of an early pick up of your pet.
Our boarding facility has limited kennel space and we frequently operate at 90-100% occupancy. When we are at full capacity the lack of space may force us to turn away potential clients for boarding. When booked clients pick up their dogs earlier than scheduled, cancel, or change a reservation with too short of notification it is frequently too late for us to fill the kennel space that has been reserved. The previously turned away client has already made alternative arrangements, resulting in an empty kennel and loss of revenue for Hillroad Kennels. Unfortunately, as a result of no shows, untimely cancellations, schedule changes, and early pickups, we have implemented the above cancellation policy.
As of January 2025, Hillroad Kennels will implement the following policy for reservations which include the following holidays: Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Christmas/New Year:
- Any reservation over the specified holiday will require a 3 day minimum booking
- The cancellation policy will apply to any early pickups
